Social media were flooded with anti-Roger Goodell messages amid suspicions that league brass may have known more about the Ray Rice scandal than it first admitted.

The hashtag #FireGoodell began to trend on Twitter shortly after the Associated Press reported that an anonymous police officer said that, months ago, he sent the NFL a surveillance videotape showing Rice punching his then-fiancee at a New Jersey casino.

The NFL said it is looking into who, if anyone, actually got the tape months ago. Still, that news did not stop people, including current and former NFL players, from blasting league officials on social media.
