Was Odell Beckham Jr.’s catch the greatest of all time?

Share

Odell Beckham Jr. may have made the greatest catch of all time on Sunday night.

At least that's what some people have been saying ever since the New York Giants rookie receiver made a spectacular 43-yard touchdown catch with just one hand while falling onto his back against the Dallas Cowboys.

"Sunday Night Football" analyst Cris Collinsworth, a former NFL receiver, almost immediately proclaimed, "That may be the best catch I've ever seen."

The sentiment was quickly echoed by many others, including former Giants receiver Victor Cruz and NBA superstar LeBron James.

It was most definitely a spectacular catch. But was it really the greatest ever? Beckham is one of the folks who doesn't think so, but he has his own reasons for wanting to believe that.

“I hope it’s not the greatest catch of all time,” Beckham said. “I hope I can make more.”
