Brandon LaFell discussed making the first touchdown catch of Super Bowl XLIX, LeGarrette Blount revealed what he whispered to Malcolm Butler after the rookie’s game-saving interception and Danny Amendola gave comedian Will Ferrell’s Seattle Seahawks hoodie the Bill Belichick treatment.

Hours after New England’s dramatic victory over Seattle on Sunday night, LaFell, Blount and Amendola represented the NFL champion Patriots during a special taping of NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” with host Jimmy Fallon at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix.

Amendola, who pulled in the first of two Patriots touchdowns during a fourth-quarter rally, took a pair of scissors to the sleeves of Ferrell’s hooded sweatshirt.

“Coach Belichick gave me strict orders to kind of have a little fashion tip for you, my friend,” Amendola said, referring to the New England coach’s signature look.

“Is this to show off the guns?” Ferrell deadpanned.

LaFell said that Amendola tried to get him to throw the football into the crowd after his touchdown. “I wasn’t giving that ball away,” LaFell said.

During the game, the Seahawks appeared to be ready to take the lead with the ball on the Patriots’ 1 with 26 seconds remaining. But then Butler changed everything by picking off a Russell Wilson pass.

Blount said his message to his teammate was quite simple: “‘You won us the game.”
