Tesoro High quarterback Devon Modster commits to UCLA

UCLA picked up a commitment Monday in the 2016 recruiting class from quarterback Devon Modster.

“After a long talk with my family members, I am blessed to announce that I’m going to be a Bruin!” Modster wrote on Twitter.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Modster, from Tesoro High in Las Flores, made an official visit to UCLA over the weekend.

Modster was once committed to Arizona but withdrew that commitment last month.

Quarterback Matt Lynch, from Legacy High in Broomfield, Colo., has signed a financial-aid agreement with UCLA and is expected to enroll for the spring quarter.

Modster can sign with the Bruins on Feb. 3.
