USC AT TEXAS A&M

When: Friday, 4 p.m. PST.

Where: Reed Arena, College Station, Texas.

On the air: TV: SEC Network; Radio: 710.

Update: Texas A&M, 2-0 after easily defeating Northwestern State and American, is the only opponent from a power conference on USC’s non-conference schedule. The Aggies haven’t cracked the top 25 but reached the regional semifinals at the Honda Center in last season’s NCAA tournament before losing to Oklahoma.

USC (2-0) has played its first two games without starting forward Bennie Boatwright, who has been suffering from back spasms. Shooting guard Elijah Stewart powered USC in the Trojans’ season-opening 75-61 victory over Montana.

Most recently, USC struggled and escaped with a 10-point victory against Nebraska Omaha after trailing by six points in the second half. Forward Chimezie Metu scored 15 points to go with 11 rebounds and five blocked shots.
