USC’s trip to Arizona State last season could not have gone worse.
The Trojans gave up 612 yards in a 62-41 loss. Lane Kiffin was fired as coach hours later.
But USC linebacker Hayes Pullard said the date of Saturday’s game against Arizona State has not been circled on the calendar -- at least not for the purpose of revenge.
“We left that in the past,” Pullard said. “It was a different set of coaches and a different set of guys.”
Saturday’s game at the Coliseum is the Trojans’ Pac-12 South division opener.
Pullard said he had “definitely” thought about the game’s importance.
“Every game is a championship game when there are a bunch of Pac-12 teams going for the same goal,” Pullard said.
Arizona State is 1-1 in the Pac-12 South.
