USC held on to defeat 10th-ranked Arizona, 28-26, on Saturday at Arizona Stadium.
After trailing by 15, Arizona had the chance to tie -- and win -- the game with slightly more than three minutes remaining, but was unable to complete a two-point conversion and missed a 36-yard field goal after recovering an on-side kick.
USC tailback Javorius Allen powered the offense. He rushed 208 yards and scored three touchdowns in 26 carries.
USC improves to 4-2 overall, 3-1 in Pac-12 Conference play.
Times beat reporter Gary Klein joins me to discuss USC’s victory.
Here’s the rundown:
- Wild finish for second consecutive week
- Freshmen defensive backs
- Leonard Williams steps up
- Offense does not open up
- Javorius Allen carries the load
- Pac-12 Conference shuffle
