USC safeguards campus landmarks a week ahead of UCLA showdown

USC can never be too prepared for UCLA these days.
A week ahead of the rivalry game on Nov. 28, USC already has safeguarded landmarks on campus from possible pranksters.
The John McKay and Tommy Trojan statues, among others, have been sealed in plastic and tape.
UCLA has defeated USC for three consecutive seasons.
The game this season could decide the champion of the Pac-12 South division.
USC, 7-3 overall and 5-2 in the Pac-12, plays Oregon on Saturday at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.
UCLA (7-3, 4-3) plays Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
