USC coaches hit recruiting trail after Stanford victory

USC defeated Stanford on Saturday afternoon in Palo Alto but the coaching staff’s day did not end there.

Hours after the 13-10 victory at Stanford Stadium, Trojans Coach Steve Sarkisian and defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox were back in the Southland and on the road recruiting.

Sarkisian and Wilcox watched Gardena Serra High play Bellevue (Wash.) in the Southern California Honor Bowl in Oceanside.

USC defensive line coach Chris Wilson also attended the game. Wilson’s son, Caleb, plays quarterback for Serra.

Both schools feature top 2015 recruits with offers from USC.

USC’s roster features five Serra players: receiver George Farmer, cornerback/receiver Adoree’ Jackson, quarterback Jalen Greene, linebacker Olajuwon Tucker and walk-on cornerback Jalen Jones.

Former Trojans receivers Robert Woods and Marqise Lee and defensive lineman DaJohn Harris also attended Serra.

Serra linebacker John Houston and defensive end Rasheem Green remain top targets for USC.

USC offered Bellevue offensive tackle Henry Roberts, who has since committed to Washington.

Coaches have 42 days to evaluate high school players during the fall evaluation period, which started Sept. 1 and runs through Nov. 29.

Sarkisian has 16 players committed in the 2015 recruiting class and eight available scholarships.
