UCLA has an open date before playing USC on Nov. 22, but at least one Bruins player is already fired up to take on the Trojans.

“SC, baby, SC!” defensive back Ishmael Adams screamed on his way into the UCLA locker room after the Bruins defeated the Huskies on Saturday.

On Sunday, when asked about the buzz already being generated about the USC-UCLA game, Trojans Coach Steve Sarkisian interrupted, “We play Cal Thursday night.”

USC will host California on Thursday night at the Coliseum.

Sarkisian said he did not know “why there would be” any worry that his team would look ahead to UCLA.

“We are going to play a team that if we don’t score 35, you are not in the game,” Sarkisian said. “So we better be ready to play.”
