Former USC linebackers Hayes Pullard and J.R. Tavai participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis over the weekend.

Pullard, 6 feet and 240 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds. He bench-pressed 225 pounds 19 times.

During the NFL Network broadcast, analyst Mike Mayock said Pullard’s production at USC was “huge.”

Pullard started four seasons and led the team in tackles the last two. “It speaks to his consistency and durability,” Mayock said.

Tavai, 6 feet 2 and 249 pounds, played defensive end and outside linebacker at USC, but Mayock projected him as an inside linebacker.

He ran the 40 in 4.91 seconds and completed 20 reps on the bench.

Before the combine, Mayock projected Pullard and Tavai as fourth- to fifth-round picks.
