Former USC defensive back Josh Shaw has had a number of interviews with NFL organizations this week at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

Shaw fabricated a story last year about how he injured his ankles, which resulted in a 10-game suspension.

Shaw told SI.com that he needed to be “transparent” with each team.

“I think that’s important to [NFL teams], that I know where I messed up and what I could have done different,” said Shaw, adding that he has taken “full accountability for what happened.”

Shaw said he learned from the situation and would “never embarrass my family, myself or any organization ever again.”

Shaw made 11 tackles in USC’s final three games and intercepted a pass in last week’s East-West Shrine Game.

The Senior Bowl is Saturday at 1 p.m. PDT and will air on the NFL Network. Shaw is on the North team with Trojans teammate Hayes Pullard.
