USC’s pursuit of junior quarterback Tate Martell from Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas doesn’t appear to be over.

“USC’s MAIL IS UNREAL!” Martell wrote on Twitter this week.

Martell, a 2017 recruit, announced his verbal commitment to Texas A&M in August. He chose the Aggies over Alabama, Michigan, USC and Washington.

Martell previously committed to Washington when he was entering the eighth grade and Steve Sarkisian was coach, but he chose to decommit last January.

USC, and Sarkisian again, were thought to be the favorite until he announced for Texas A&M.

Martell, 5 feet 10 and 190 pounds, has thrown 21 touchdowns with four interceptions in 10 games this season. He also has rushed for eight touchdowns.

Three players have committed to USC’s 2017 class: Cornerback Thomas Graham from Rancho Cucamonga High, tailback Stephen Carr from Summit High in Fontana and receiver Amari Rodgers from Knoxville Catholic in Knoxville, Tenn.
