Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams has SC tattooed on his arm
Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. has SC tattooed on his arm, but the letters don’t mean what we might think.
They stand for Southern California, not USC, Adams told KEZI’s Kristen Rodgers.
Adams, who has led a surging Oregon to four consecutive victories, is a Pasadena native and attended Alemany High before he played three seasons at Eastern Washington.
He joined Oregon this fall as a graduate transfer.
Adams told Rodgers that he grew up a USC fan and that he has worked to mirror some of Reggie Bush’s moves.
Adams also is friends with Trojans cornerback Kevon Seymour, defensive lineman Antwuan Woods and receiver Steven Mitchell Jr.
USC plays Oregon on Saturday at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.
