Football and video games, it’s the ultimate man-cave experience.

USC players and U.S. troops in Afghanistan got a taste of it last week.

Through the nonprofit Pro vs. GI Joe organization, several Trojans played online video games against servicemen, connecting on the John McKay Center video board.

Troops and players interacted through a live video feed. The soldiers asked the Trojans about upcoming opponents, and players asked about duties overseas, all while engaged in a “Call of Duty” battle.

“If anybody is heroes, they are heroes,” receiver JuJu Smith said. “Every time I see someone in the military or related to the military, I give them props and honor.”
