Luxury cruise line Cunard will launch a five-day summer sale Thursday that slashes prices on selected Mediterranean voyages and New England cruises. The deal includes stateroom upgrades and a $300 credit for sailings from U.S. ports.

The deal: Among the lowest fares in the Grand Summer Event Sale are $899 a person for an inside cabin on a 12-day Holy Land Explorer starting Sept. 6 in Rome and $1,199 per person for an inside cabin on a Pearls of the Black Sea cruise starting Sept. 30 in Venice, Italy. Prices are based on double occupancy and exclude taxes and fees. Both cruises are aboard the Queen Elizabeth.

The sale also applies to an 11-day New England & Canada Sojourn on Sept. 21 that starts at $1,995 a person for a stateroom with a balcony aboard the Queen Mary 2. This comes with the resort credit, too. Fares are based on double occupancy and exclude taxes and fees.

When: The offer is good through Monday on selected sailings.

Details: I couldn’t test this deal because the sale hasn’t started. But a check of current inside cabin fares for the Holy Land Explorer shows prices starting at $1,199 a person and the Pearls of the Black Sea cruise, $1,599 a person, according to Cunard’s website.
