What to do at Colorado’s Beaver Creek Resort in summer? Hike, dine, get a massage

Share

The Osprey at Colorado’s Beaver Creek Resort is the closest hotel to a ski lift in North America, which is great for a winter visit. (It’s literally within spitting distance, if you are so inclined.)

But there’s also good reason to visit in summer. The lodge debuts its Wellness, Wilderness and Trek to Table getaways, which focus on hiking mountain trails, healthful summer dining and spa treatments.

Better yet, this posh hotel’s concierge staff will tailor the packages to guest preferences.

The Trek to Table package includes accommodations for two nights and a keepsake hiking pack, water bottle and trekking pole for use while exploring Beaver Creek’s network of scenic hiking trails.

In addition, guests can enjoy a day of unlimited rides on the Centennial Gondola, discover hiking trails from mid-mountain and eat a mountaintop lunch at the Spruce Saddle Lodge.

After a day of trekking, guests return to the Osprey’s Fireside Grill for an après-hike chef’s plate of fresh, seasonal vegetables, savory cheeses and a choice of a glass of wine or summer wellness refreshment served in a take-home Osprey wine glass.

With the Adventure to Après package, a Beaver Creek hiking guide takes guests out and provides a history of the area as well as facts about the region’s indigenous plants and animals during a morning trail journey.

In addition to everything included in the Trek to Table and Adventure to Après packages, Wellness and Wilderness offers a massage treatment of your choice to work out any soreness from the day’s activities.

Prices for the packages start at $259, $324 and $519 per person, respectively.
