Biggest bar at Caesars Palace Las Vegas will open in time for Halloween
Caesars Palace, the Las Vegas resort that turns 50 this year, will open its newest hangout, the Alto Bar, on Friday evening. You can snag a private booth and watch TV while sipping classic cocktails or draft beers.
Alto takes over the former Seahorse Lounge (it’s near the Omnia nightclub and the Race and Sports Book) to become the landmark resort’s biggest bar.
It promises to serve up “premium versions of classic cocktails,” a news release about the Alto says.

Drinks on opening weekend cost $8 for Corona or Modelo and $35 for buckets of five Corona, Modelo or Red Bull. Cocktails made with El Jimador tequila will set you back $10 to $12 each.
You can turn out for a Halloween/Day of the Dead costume party at 11 p.m. Saturday and drop by to decorate sugar skulls from 8 to 10 p.m. Halloween night (Monday).
Renovation of the space has been going on since July. Eater Las Vegas reports that records show an estimated construction cost of $2.8 million for the makeover.
