Take an Airstream trailer vacation this winter and take 25% off

If you’ve always wanted to hit the road in an iconic Airstream trailer, this might be a good time to go. New rental company Airstream 2 Go provides everything you’ll need -- including an SUV for that outfitted Airstream trailer -- and a 25% discount for winter travel. It’s ideal for a trip to Joshua Tree or Death Valley when desert temperatures are mild.

The deal: Airstream 2 Go started in May and presents a fresh vacation concept for travelers in the West. Right now rentals are available in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, though the company says it plans to expand to the East Coast and the South in the coming years. The idea is to experience the outdoors in an Airstream without having to own one.

The trailers come outfitted with sheets, towels, kitchen supplies, even an iPad Mini with suggested music to play on your road trip. In winter the company is dropping the minimum rental to three days -- any three days of the week -- and taking 25% off the rental price.

The cost of a three-day rental of an SUV and 23-foot trailer that sleeps four starts at $1,740 for a DIY tour and $2,400 for a custom journey. Weeklong trips run $4,060 to $5,600, depending on the size of the trailer and the type of itinerary you choose.

When: The offer is good from Friday through March 14.

Details: You have to call to make reservations with partner travel planning company Off the Beaten Path, which will provide guidance on itineraries and fill you in on how the Airstream rental works.
