Foot Trails’ “Ancient Gods, Myths & Temples” tour is a luxury five-day guided walk through some of England’s most scenic countryside. The small-group tour begins in the World Heritage City of Bath, filled with Celt, Roman and Georgian history. Participants will spend three nights in Bath in a small, boutique-style hotel with buildings that date to 1717.
From there, walks will take them through the countryside to South Wiltshire. Along the way they will explore Stonehenge and learn about those who built it and worshipped there. In rural Wiltshire, the group will spend three nights in a small country inn at the edge of the Longleat estate and will walk through areas of historical significance (think Saxon kings and highwaymen) and natural beauty.
Dates: June 7, July 12 and Sept. 22.
Price: From $2,780 per person, double occupancy (single supplement available). Price depends on departure date and room category. Includes accommodations, daily breakfasts and four lunches, private coach transportation to and from walks, local guides and admission to Stonehenge and Stourhead house and gardens.
