If you want bragging rights to hiking the John Muir Trail, but don’t want to lug your gear, here’s a trip just for you.
Mountain Travel Sobek has put together a 13-day summer expedition that will take you northbound for 103 miles along the famous Pacific Crest Trail (it overlaps the JMT), from Florence Lake to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park. You’ll wear only a daypack; mules will tote your gear and professional packers will set up camp daily and await your arrival. (You are expected to set up your own tent, filter water, etc.). Mountain guides will lead your trek.
Dates: July 26-Aug. 7, Aug. 18-30.
Price: Rates are based on the number of people on the hike, beginning at $4,895 each for 11 to 12 participants; single supplement is $450. Included are most meals and lodging. Airfare is not included
