5 New Orleans hotels mark down their rates
Greet Papa Noel in the Big Easy this year when five New Orleans Marriott and Renaissance hotels mark down their rates to less than $100 a night.
The deal: Rates are valid Dec. 1 to 30 at Renaissance Pere Marquette (from $89), New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center (from $89), New Orleans Marriott (from $89), Renaissance Arts Hotel (from $99) and JW Marriott New Orleans (from $99).
The celebration: Papa Noel is the New Orleans equivalent of Santa Claus. The city’s holiday celebrations include street festivities, cathedral Christmas concerts and the Celebration of the Oaks holiday lights tour. The tour is an annual City Park festival of light displays and musical performances. It is presented in the newly replanted Botanical Garden, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland playground.
