Gladys Knight, Journey, Trace Adkins and more will have you rocking on these cruises

Seven-time Grammy Award winner Gladys Knight will join the lineup of headliners for live concerts on Carnival cruises in 2016.

Knight, 71, the “empress of soul,” is set to kick off the Carnival Live concerts Feb. 1-3 on some Caribbean cruises.

She’s to perform aboard ship when the Carnival Liberty, Carnival Valor and Carnival Splendor dock in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Concerts will be in the ships’ main theaters, which seat 900 to 1,300 passengers.

The series is scheduled to continue with KC & the Sunshine Band performing March 22-24 in Cozumel, Mexico, for passengers traveling from Miami aboard the Carnival Paradise, Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Breeze.

Journey returns to the Carnival roster for the second year in a row. The band is to perform May 5 aboard the Carnival Pride and May 6 aboard the Carnival Victory at Nassau in the Bahamas.

Country singer Trace Adkins is slated to return as well. He’s to perform July 6 aboard Carnival Freedom in Nassau, July 7 aboard the Carnival Dream, and July 8 aboard the Carnival Conquest.

Tickets for concerts cost $40 to $75 for general admission and $150 to $250 for VIP tickets. VIPs receive seating in the first four rows of the theater and a photo with the musician.

Jazzman Gregory Porter will be the headline performer for the Queen Mary 2’s concert series Blue Note Jazz at Sea.

The weeklong transatlantic crossing is scheduled to begin in New York on Oct. 25 and end in Southampton, Britain, on Nov. 1. Inside cabins start at $1,299 per person, excluding tax and fees.

It’s set to go aboard the Norwegian Pearl on Feb. 22, traveling from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas.

Available inside cabins start at $1,049 per person for a double, $799 for a triple and $675 for a quad, excluding $250 each for tax and fees.
