Guided field trips take visitors to sites, including the Big Sur Ornithology Lab, Pinnacles National Monument and Point Reyes, in hopes of sighting the snowy plover, golden eagle, peregrine falcon, California condor and other species. Sidebar activities include Family Days on Sept. 22 and 23 at Wetlands of Watsonville Nature Center.
When, where: Sept. 21 to 23 at locations in the Pajaro Valley. Watsonville Nature Center at 30 Harkins Slough Road.
