Big Bear’s Discovery Center, about two hours from L.A., is offering weekend snowshoe tours around the lake this winter. The guided tour is suitable for beginners and experienced enthusiasts. The second annual Ojai WordFest takes place March 24-31. The festival brings together authors, screenwriters, playwrights, poets, songwriters, novelists for panels and readings.
