Want a deep-freeze winter vacation? L.A.-to-Moscow fares on sale
The cheapest airfare in Lufthansa’s ski season sale goes to ... Moscow. OK, not exactly a ski hub, but there is snow -- and savings. Sale prices from L.A. to Moscow start at $685 round-trip.
The deal: There are lots of destinations in this Lufthansa sale, but none that I could find as low as the Moscow airfares. Testing selected dates, I found availability for L.A. to Dusseldorf, Germany, for $795 round-trip. It all depends on where you’re going and when you’re traveling to find the deal fares.
The deal is good for departures between Jan. 5 and March 20 and returning between Jan. 7 and April 20. Note that flights might be on partner airlines, such as Air Canada, United and other carriers.
When: The offer is good through Jan. 10.
Tested: I checked online and found availability for L.A. to Moscow leaving March 1 and returning March 12. Total round-trip fare comes to $685, including tax and fees. I checked on Kayak to confirm that Lufthansa had the lowest airfares for these dates.
