Web Buzz: Irrive.com’s social media scrapbook

Share

You’ve never seen a social scrapbook website this helpful.

Name: Irrive.com

What it does: Crafts a scrapbook from your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare and Flickr check-ins. Just punch in the dates and watch as your vacation photos, posts and map check-ins unfold, day by day, on the pages before you, even if you took your trip months ago. Share your new scrapbook with friends you pick on Facebook or keep it private and pass it around with an individual link.

What’s hot: The first time you use Irrive, you receive a nice surprise: It’s made a video for you from your social media pics. Even better, you can edit the video and add more photos from your computer (if you were using a digital camera and not just your phone). It allows for only 12 to 15 photos now, but Irrive will be releasing a paid version that allows for unlimited video length, plus HD videos. After I created a scrapbook from a recent trip to Maui, I realized it would’ve been better if I’d checked in more frequently. If I wasn’t a social media check-in maniac already, I definitely would become one for Irrive.

What’s not: The site is new, so it would be rude to be too demanding when the initial product is so thorough. But I’ll be even more excited when videos can be included in the scrapbook. Stay tuned. Mobile, group scrapbook creation and HD video capability coming soon.
