Las Vegas: Stars come out for Smith Center’s summer season
Tickets go on sale Friday for the summer season at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Las Vegas. The lineup includes stars from comedy, country music, sports and much more.
Among the upcoming acts:
July 6: Weird Al Yankovic brings his pop-culture parody to the stage. In a three-decade career, Yankovic has amassed 30 gold and platinum albums. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performance start at $29.
Aug. 1-4: Dixie’s Tupperware Party brings saleslady Dixie Longate’s off-Broadway smash to the intimate Troesh Studio Theater. The actual sales pitches are intertwined with plenty of homespun stories and even some giveaways of the plastic storage containers. Tickets from $33.
Aug. 13: An Evening with Willie Nelson & Family features the ballad singer whose career spans more than six decades. The concert marks Nelson’s first return to the Reynolds Hall stage since last year’s star-studded opening night gala. Tickets from $39.
Aug. 23: Jimmy Connors: What It Takes To Win. The tennis icon and author will tell tales and take questions from the audience during a wide-ranging discussion of his life on and off the court. Tickets from $32.
