Las Vegas: Bellagio adds an all-you-can-eat caviar buffet

Once a delicacy enjoyed only by royalty, caviar for the masses has arrived at the Buffet at Bellagio in Las Vegas. Like other food items, the costly fish eggs will be offered on an all-you-can-eat basis.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, during what’s billed as Gourmet Dinner Service, the buffet is upping the ante by adding Ikura and tobiko caviars to the menu. Ikura comes from the roe of salmon; tobiko is made from a flying fish of the same name.

At one of the food stations, servers will offer the caviar by itself or as a topping for items such as blinis, freshly rolled sushi and ahi tuna cones. A variety of traditional garnishes, including chopped eggs and crème fraîche, will also be available.

For this experience -- available 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays -- diners will pay $37.99. On other nights, the dinner buffet is $31.99.

Those who choose to enhance their dining experience with cocktails will find an unlimited drink option available each evening. For an additional $8, guests can help themselves to limitless Bellinis, Bloody Marys, sparkling wine and beer.
