Las Vegas: And Forbes honors Wynn, Aria Sky Suites and more

Share

An old hand and a relative newcomer in Las Vegas earned top rankings in the Forbes Travel Guide five-star rankings released Monday.

Hotelier Steve Wynn’s two Las Vegas resorts, Wynn and Encore, garnered five stars--the top honor--in hotel (for their Tower Suites) and spa categories. Wynn’s Macau properties, which carry the same names, were also on the list of five-star winners from Forbes, the former Mobil Travel Guides.

Aria Sky Suites is a newcomer to the five-star hotel list this year. That list also includes the Mandarin Oriental (which also won five stars for its restaurant and its spa) and Skylofts at MGM Grand.

Three restaurants along the Strip are included on Forbes’ five-star list. New this year is Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace. The returnees are Joel Robuchon (MGM Grand) and Twist by Pierre Gagnaire (Mandarin Oriental).

The five-star honorees in the spa category in Nevada remain the same. The Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental, along with Wynn and Encore, enjoy five-star status.
