Mexico: School’s in for those who want to surf south of the border
Take a surfin’ safari south of the border this summer with San Diego’s Ocean Experience Surf School, which is offering four-day Baja Adventure Tours to Punta San Jacinto, Mexico, a well-known surf break about five hours south of San Diego.
The trips include transportation, gear, food, lodging and instruction.
“We have novices to pros on these trips,” said Linda Anderson, a spokeswoman for the 23-year-old surf school.
“One of our recent trips included a woman from Venice Beach. She was looking for just what we offer, a retreat to a safe, secure, clean and comfortable location. Our summer tour is approaching, and we are hopeful there are more adventurers in Los Angeles who may want to experience Baja.”
Activities include surfing, skating, kayaking, paddleboarding, biking and fishing.
The dates:
- July 26-29
- Aug. 23-26
- Sept. 27-30
- Oct. 25-28.
Prices range from $450 per person for a group of five to nine to $695 per person for a private room.
