Daily Deal: Bus tour, breakfast are bonuses in Grand Canyon stay
- Share via
Two lodges inside Grand Canyon National Park are offering a late summer deal that add a bus tour and breakfast to the price of a room. The offer for stays at Maswik and Yavapai lodges is available for 15 days starting Aug. 25.
The deal: The End of Summer package costs $174 a night for rooms at Maswik Lodge North and $159 at Yavapai Lodge East (prices exclude tax), based on double occupancy. It includes breakfast for two, a bus excursion for two — Hermits Rest morning tour or a sunset tour — and discounts on gift shop purchases of $50 or more. Use the code “SUMMER” when making a reservation.
When: The offer is good Aug. 25 to Sept. 12, excluding Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30 to Sept. 1), based on availability.
Tested: I found a room available online on Aug. 25-26 at Maswik North for the end-of-summer rate. The room has two queen beds, refrigerator and coffeemakers, and sleeps up to five people. Rooms usually cost $176 a night at Maswik and $166 a night at Yavapai — and that’s without the extras.
Note that Maswick North is in a separate building from the main lodge and about a quarter-mile from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Yavapai East is about a half-mile from the rim.
