Las Vegas: ‘The D* Word -- A Musical’ to open at LVH resort
“The D* Word – A Musical” will bring laughs and maybe a tear or two when it lands in Las Vegas next month.
The show opening at the LVH resort follows four single and single-again women for whom the “D” stands for Ditched, Dumped, Divorced and Dating. (That’s also the production’s subtitle.)
The musical is written and produced by Jeanie Linders, who also created the long-running “Menopause the Musical.”
“’The D*Word’ is a party show,” Linders said in a news release. “The action spans the experiences of women and men of all ages who’ve experienced the joys and jerks of dating.”
The gal pals sing their way through their woes with tunes such as “Hot Stuff,” “I Will Survive” and “Stronger.” The overriding musical message is that life goes on, peaks and valleys included.
The musical -- which lasts 90 minutes -- will open July 10 in the hotel’s Shimmer Cabaret, a 350-seat venue.
