Believe it: Journey’s coming to the Joint in Las Vegas for nine shows

Share

Blame the TV shows “The Sopranos” and “Glee” for the earworm resurgence of the ballad “Don’t Stop Believin’.” The rock anthem is back -- and so is the band Journey.

Journey will play nine shows at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas this summer. Tickets go on sale Friday for shows scheduled between April 29 and May 16.

While Steve Perry left behind his lead singing role years ago, Arnel Pineda takes his place singing “Faithfully,” “Forever Young,” “Any Way You Want It” and more.

Journey formed in 1973 in San Francisco but has gone through many changes since then. The band recorded “Believin’” in 1981. After the song was released on iTunes in 2003, it sold more than 2 million digital copies and became one of the most-downloaded songs on iTunes too.

Tickets start at $59.50 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday.
