Celebrity cars take over Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas

Some of the world’s greatest cars from television and movies take over the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas during Las Vegas Car Stars 2015 on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16. The event marks the 30th anniversary of “Back to the Future.”

On hand, the “Back to the Future” DeLorean, “Batman” Batmobile, “Starsky & Hutch” movie hero cars, the “A-Team” van, Herbie from “The Love Bug,” the “Ghostbusters” 1959 Cadillac and more.

Fans can meet celebrities from those films and television shows such as Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, “Back to the Future” writer Bob Gale, “Jaws” cast member Susan Backlinie, stuntman Bob Bralver and more.

The event kicks off on Friday, May 15, with a parade of famous cars from the Welcome to Las Vegas sign to the Fremont Street Experience.

Head to the Fremont Street Experience from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday when the celebrity cars are on display. Celebrities make appearances and sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a question and answer session from 1 to 2 p.m. That goes for $50, with proceeds going to the Children’s Miracle Network.

All takes place under the Viva Vision screen, the world’s largest video screen at 1,500 feet long and 90 feet wide, suspended 90 feet above the pedestrian mall below. The screen features 12.5 million LED lights and a 550,000-watt sound system.
