Boxing match means a busy weekend for celebs in Las Vegas

While the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Andre Berto boxing match didn’t have the panache of Mayweather’s bout against Manny Pacquiao in May, it still brought the celebrities to Las Vegas.

Model and longtime girlfriend of R&B singer Miguel, Nazanin Mandi, hosted an over-the-top birthday extravaganza at Hyde Bellagio on Friday night. Flashing lights and giant letters spelling out “N-A-Z,” greeted the couple and their entourage.

Nick Cannon, host of the TV show “America’s Got Talent,” closed out the season at Palms Pool & Dayclub at a rowdy Friday pool party. Cannon sang along to his favorite songs as summer partiers danced to his mix of hip-hop, rap and electronic music.

Stephen Espinoza, executive vice president and general manager of Showtime sports and event programming, hosted the pre-fight party at the newly opened Lavo Casino Club at the Palazzo on Friday night. Guests, including football legend Jerry Rice and boxing champ Shane Mosley, got a first look at the brand new venue. “Magic Mike” star Joe Manganiello played a few hands of blackjack with friends.

Over at Tao Nightclub at the Venetian, Busta Rhymes kicked off fight weekend with a blowout performance. The hip-hop star started his 30-minute set on stage before surprising a packed house by walking through the dance floor and performing among guests from the catwalk. Also on hand was actor and model Tyson Beckford.
