Margaret Cho goes ‘psyCHO’ in Las Vegas this fall
Reporting from Las Vegas — Comedian Margaret Cho goes “psyCHO” when she embarks on her national U.S. tour this fall with a stop in Las Vegas. Cho heads to Treasure Island on Friday, Oct. 16, with all new material that includes the single life, Bruce Jenner’s transition and female empowerment.
“This show is about insanity, and about the anger I feel about everything happening in the world right now, from police brutality to racism to the rising tide of violence against women,” Cho says in a press statement.
“It makes me all so crazy — hence the title: The psyCHO Tour… When men go off on something, they are ‘passionate’ and ‘driven’ and when women go off on something we are ‘hysterical’ and ‘crazy.’ I’m trying to bring some joy to the hysteria and insanity.”
Cho is considered a pioneer among women in comedy, taking on topics for what she calls the “disenfranchised… The audience members at my shows don’t necessarily consider themselves traditional comedy fans. I seem to be a secure alternative for people who don’t think they’re being represented in society,” she says.
The star of Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva” also pays tribute to two of her mentors, Robin Williams and Joan Rivers, during her show.
Tickets start at $43.95.
Tickets: Treasure Island, (800) 392-1999
