FOR THE RECORD:

Portrait of a population: The California Snapshot graphic in the Jan. 16 California section included a pie chart of the sectors in which immigrants who are in the country without legal permission work in Los Angeles County, but the totals added up to only 67%. The data should have indicated that these are the top five sectors of employment: arts, entertainment, recreation, accommodation, food services, 18%; professional, scientific, management, administration, waste management, 15%; construction, 13%; manufacturing, 11%; retail trade, 10%.
