This year's Tony Awards show was one of the top winners at Sunday’s 65th Annual Creative Arts Emmys.
The 66th annual Tony telecast -- which tied with "Boardwalk Empire" for the second-largest number of Emmys won, with four apiece -- took home honors for special class program; Neil Patrick Harris as host/producer and technical direction. "If I Had Time," the closing number for the Tonys by Adam Schlesinger and David Javerbaum, won the Emmy for original music and lyrics.
Another Broadway alum was honored at Sunday's ceremony at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Carrie Preston was named best guest actress in a drama for her role as the unorthodox lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni on “The Good Wife.”
The FXX network will air a two-hour, edited version of the Creative Arts Emmys (the original ceremony clocked in at 3.5 hours) at 9 p.m. on Sept. 21.
The Primetime Emmys, hosted by Harris, will be broadcast live on CBS on Sept. 22.
