Celebrities react to Brussels terror attacks

Celebrities took to the Internet to share their anger and despair over the acts of terrorism that struck the Belgian capital of Brussels early Tuesday morning. Explosions at Brussels Airport and the Maelbeek metro station, located near European Union institutions in the city, killed at least 34 people and injured scores more.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

As information about the attacks filtered out, calls for prayer, love and solidarity echoed throughout the Twitterverse, as celebs took to their outlet of choice to rally support for the European nation.

Actors, singers and Broadway stars all shared similar messages of hope, depending equally on hashtags and prayer to futher their pleas for peace and understanding.
