Someone is re-creating the blood rave from the vampire movie ‘Blade’ in real life

Share

Remember Wesley Snipes vampire movie “Blade” from 1998 that also starred Stephen Dorff as cool dude smoking vampire villain? Someone has decided to re-create the opening scene that takes place inside a blood-rain dancing vampire rave. And yes, there will be a blood shower.

BBQ Films in combination with the New York Comic-Con pre-party called New York Superweek will host a “Blade” blood rave at Terminal 5 complete with blood shower. This is quite possibly the most delightful nostalgia-baiting thing we’ve ever seen, and we’ve seen people sell vinyl “Jurassic Park” soundtrack records. This is sensational.

Just think of all the half open mouths stuffed with plastic vampire fangs and sticky pleather ensembles shaking about to New Order’s “Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix)” on a continuous loop for an entire night.

The band performing is called Crystal Method, which just sounds perfect, and the blood rave takes place officially on Oct. 9, “doors open one hour after sunset.” There will be a “splash area” that will allegedly rain (synthetic) blood on willing partiers. But if you’re not going to pretend dance around to late ‘90s rave music in a make-believe shower of pretend blood, what are you even doing there?

Vampire blood god La Magra willing, the actors pretending to be vampire Stephen Dorff (aka character name Deacon Frost) and vampire Donal Logue from this fan-made video from BBQ Films will also be there, but in character or we walk.

May we all raise the blood god La Magra together, through repetitive dance music.
