Chris Brown charged with hit-and-run, vents against ‘bullying’ on Twitter

Chris Brown is fighting back after Los Angeles city prosecutors charged the R&B singer with driving without a valid license and hit-and-run on Tuesday.

In May the singer allegedly rear-ended another vehicle and allegedly failed to exchange information with the other driver. Prosecutors also say he did not produce a driver’s license and left the scene without providing proof of insurance.

With any salacious headline related to the embattled R&B singer the news quickly heated up the blogsphere and Twitter, which is where he went to defend himself against “bullying” and vented his frustration at the woman involved in the incident.

“It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars).This is really ridiculous,” Brown wrote. “I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene.”

Brown posted a picture of the car he allegedly hit, which shows no apparent damage, and he changed his profile picture on the social media site to be of him and the woman at the scene.

“I’ve made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person,” Brown went on to write. “I don’t have all the answers and you can’t show me a person that age who has it figured out. We live and grow. Let me live.”

Earlier this week the singer was accused of assaulting a partygoer at an Orange County nightclub after his performance, but the club owner quickly came to Brown’s defense and denied the incident.

A rep for Brown didn’t return a request for comment.
