The rapper Tyler, the Creator was arrested at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas on Saturday on suspicion of inciting a riot, according to police and the Austin American-Statesman.

The L.A. musician, whose real name is Tyler Okonma, was taken into custody after an incident Friday night at a SXSW concert. The singer was performing at the Scoot Inn as part of a showcase for Converse and Thrasher Magazine.

He reportedly incited the attending crowds outside the at-capacity venue to break down security barricades and rush the venue, leading a chant of “Push, push, push.”

The fans did, and the concert was abruptly cut off as the venue tried to restore order. The concert continued several minutes later, and Tyler tweeted that “THRASHER SHOW WAS GREAT! HAPPY EVERYONE GOT IN. I PLAY PANDORA TONIGHT AT 1AM COME!!!”

Austin police released video of the melee to TMZ, posted below. The incident occurred just two days after Tyler’s performance at Mohawk was canceled after an alleged drunk driver evading arrest drove into a crowd of pedestrians outside the venue, killing two and injuring dozens of others.

The rapper was taken into custody and is being held in lieu of $3,500 bond. Representatives for Tyler did not return requests for comment.
