New L.A. bridal boutique Della Curva specializes in plus sizes

The owners of Lili Bridals have opened a plus-size bridal salon called Della Curva on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana. Della Curva is a full-service brick and mortar bridal salon dedicated to women who wear sizes 16-30. The store offer gowns from top designers such as Allure, Sophia Tolli and Watters.

Brides can consult with a professional stylist at the store and embark on a process aimed at alleviating the anxiety of finding a wedding gown.

Della Curva is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The store is at 18663 Ventura Blvd. at Yolanda Street in Wall Street Plaza. Appointments are required and can be booked by calling (818) 344-1444.

Nordstrom plans to officially open its newly relocated Glendale store at the Americana at Brand at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20. To celebrate the opening, Nordstrom also is having an evening gala Sept. 17 to benefit Ascencia and Hillsides, two local charities. The gala will include dinner, cocktails, live entertainment and a fall fashion presentation. Guests will also be among the first to shop at the new location. L.A, lifestyle boutique Kitson has opened a new location on the main level of the Beverly Center. The new store is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The Beverly Center is located at 8500 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles.

Dino Apparel, Brooke Rodd and Adore Accessories are offering an intimate shopping experience on Saturday in the courtyard of the Jonathan & George Salon in Beverly Hills, where shoppers can take advantage of end-of summer and pre-fall sales of up to 20% off. Jonathan & George is at 9320 Civic Center Drive. The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Loft is partnering with Fashion Delivers for an in-store event at Loft locations nationwide on Saturday. For every pair of full-price pants purchased, Loft will donate an item of clothing to Fashion Delivers, a nonprofit organization that gives women’s, men’s and home fashions to those in need. The event is also to draw attention to Loft’s new pants, which have been redesigned to ensure a better fit after a two-year research project involving women from across the country.

Allie Marie, maker of shoes, and Nan Fusco, crafter of artisan jewelry, have partnered for a trunk show from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Bardot, 2043 Westcliff Drive, Newport Beach. The shop will also be offering 10% off all accessories.

Gramercy York, a new boutique in Culver City, is planning a trunk show with Wolverine boots from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14. There will be an in-store cocktail event where shoppers can place advance orders on footwear, apparel and accessories. Gramercy York is at 8668 Washington Blvd. in Culver City.
