Following a series of stagings in downtown Los Angeles, the latest Parachute Market, a biannual design fair devoted to Los Angeles-based creators and collectors, moves to the 34,000-square foot JF Chen showroom Sept. 19-21.

The design fair and marketplace, co-curated by Bianca Chen of JF Chen and production designer and vintage dealer Coryander Friend, will feature new work from Los Angeles designers alongside vintage furnishings from collectors JF Chen, Reform Gallery, Big Daddy’s Antiques and Cliff Fong.

Local designs at Parachute Market: Ever Present will include home goods by 100xBTR, Annabelle Inganni’s textile line of tabletop goods for Wolfum, furniture and accessories by Stephen Kenn, shown above, and Gabriel Abraham’s lighting designs for Atelier de Troupe.

A new artisanal-focused MARKET-MARKET will feature objects priced between $25 to $200 including jewelry by Winsome Brave, ceramics by Leigh Forsstrom and Bari Ziperstein, towels by Todd Heim Projects and many others.

“In a world full of disposable objects, enduring design is an important subject.” said Friend. “‘Ever Present’ explores the question of what makes an object timeless by showing the treasures of those who collect and preserve historical design alongside those who refer to it and make it new through their own work.”

Parachute Market, JF Chen Showroom, 1000 N. Highland Ave., Los Angeles. A “first access” preview limited to 75 tickets will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 19. Regular market hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 20-21. Early access tickets are $65 online. General admission is $10 and $12 at the door.
