The last two years of the Los Angeles Times Holiday Cookie Bake-Off have been spectacular. You’ve submitted more than 550 recipes, and almost 90,000 votes have been cast. Obviously, this is so much fun we are going to have to do it again. So, gentlemen (and ladies), start your mixers.

Entries for this year’s Los Angeles Times Holiday Cookie Bake-Off are now being accepted on our Facebook page.

The process will be the same as the last two years. Post your recipe along with a short essay (a couple hundred words at most) explaining why this cookie is your family’s favorite and a photo (if you have one). You, the readers, will vote online for your favorites. Then we’ll test and taste the top 50 vote-getters at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Pasadena to come up with the 10 we like best.

The winners will come downtown for a tour of the Los Angeles Times Test Kitchen and will be photographed and featured in a Food section story during the holidays.

The deadline for entries is Nov. 3, and the voting will wrap up Nov. 12. So get your recipe in as soon as you can.
