A 26-year-old Fontana woman died early Saturday after an allegedly drunk driver struck her car, which had stalled on the 605 Freeway near Waddell Street, authorities said.

The woman, whose name had not been released, was driving north with two passengers in her 2000 Honda Civic when she struck a guard rail on the right shoulder and stalled about 2:25 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The woman had just switched places with a passenger in the back seat when her car was struck from behind by a 1991 Toyota Previa, according to CHP reports.
