Baseball: Harvard-Westlake wins its sixth consecutive game

Harvard-Westlake appears ready to get back to business in the Mission League after winning its sixth consecutive nonleague game with a 13-1 win over Simi Valley on Saturday.

Cameron Deere had two doubles and five RBI. Leo Kaplan had two hits and three RBI. Chase Aldridge added two hits. The Wolverines are 14-2 but only 2-2 in the Misison League.

Cleveland defeated Van Nuys, 13-0. Alex Zepeda gave up one hit. Raudel Martinez wen three for three. Austin White and Anthony Rivera each had three RBI.

El Camino Real defeated San Fernando, 12-2. Matt Malconian threw a complete game, striking out five. Eric Yang had two hits and two RBI. Jake Selco added three RBI.

Taft defeated Arleta, 7-1. Kyle Weiner had three RBI.

Sylmar defeated North Hollywood, 6-5.

Narbonne defeated Marshall, 2-1, on a walk-off RBI single by Jonathan Zaldivar. Daniel Rocha threw six innings and allowed one run.

Verdugo Hills defeated Bell, 7-1. Vicente Chacon threw six innings. Jesus Torres and Grant Mona each had two RBI. Troy Richards and Marlon Rizo had triples.

Windward defeated Sierra Canyon, 8-7, on a grand slam in the 10th by Louie Greenwald.

Brandon Moore threw the shutout in St. John Bosco’s 5-0 win over Los Alamitos.

Gardena Serra swept a doublehader from Dorsey, 13-1 and 8-3. Daniel Wheeler had three RBI in the first game.

Banning defeated University, 9-1. TJ Louviere had three hits and five RBI.
