After losing two of three games, the Lakers earned an 11th seed in the NBA’s Las Vegas championship tournament.

The Lakers will face the 0-3 Dallas Mavericks (22nd of 24 teams) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. PDT at the Thomas & Mack Center.

With a victory, the Lakers move on to play the NBA’s Development League squad (6th seed) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

A loss to the Mavericks would push the Lakers’ next game back to Friday at 3 p.m. in the Cox Pavilion, against either the Washington Wizards (20th) or Utah Jazz (13th).

If the Lakers do advance past Dallas, and continue to win, they’ll play Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., finishing with a third-game in three nights and a chance to win the championship Monday at 6 p.m., each at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The Lakers have been led by Jabari Brown’s 20.0 points a game, although he’s made just a single appearance following an eye injury.

Jordan Clarkson has averaged 18.3 points, followed by rookie D’Angelo Russell with 10.0 points a night.

Russell has struggled to shoot, hitting just 33.3% from the field and 12.5% from three-point range, with 6.7 turnovers a game.

Forward Julius Randle, working his way back from a broken leg (that cost him almost his entire rookie season) is averaging 9.0 points a night on 29.4% shooting.
