Everybody ready for the Lakers’ starting backcourt of Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks? Which means Steve Nash will not play Sunday against San Antonio.

The Lakers don’t have many other options for their starting guards. Kobe Bryant will miss his first game since sustaining a torn left Achilles’ tendon and Nash will be sidelined a seventh game because of a strained hamstring.

“He feels a little bit better today, not good enough to go [tonight],” Lakers Coach Mike D’Antoni said of Nash. “We’re shooting for Wednesday and we’ll just see.”

The Lakers conclude the regular season Wednesday with a home game against Houston.

D’Antoni said it was a “good bet” the Lakers would re-sign Andrew Goudelock, a second-year guard who averaged 4.4 points last season for them. He was waived during training camp last October and averaged 21.1 points and 5.2 assists in the Development League with Sioux Falls and Rio Grande Valley.

“Glad to be back,” Goudelock told The Times after flying into Los Angeles on Sunday morning. “Feel so bad for Kobe. But we need these wins.”

The Lakers’ game plan against the Spurs will be simple: go to Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol down low. Additionally, Metta World Peace will rejoin the starting lineup in his fourth game back from knee surgery.

The eighth-place Lakers (43-37) are one game ahead of Utah in the Western Conference standings. If they win their final two games, they qualify for the playoffs.
